"I had been watching this Great Blue Heron nest for quite some time waiting for the male to return with some nesting material. The sun was getting low in the sky and the clouds had moved in. At the last minute there was a break in the clouds and the golden light just before the sun sets peeked out for the last time. All of a sudden the male returned with a stick for the nest and I captured him on video as he gave the stick to the female. The sky was dark, but the last rays of light gave the birds an orange glow."
